Day 1 (Santa Cruz – Baltra)
Arrival at Baltra airport, transfer to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island with naturalist guide, check in your hotel, lunch
Bay Tour: Boat trip to see cliffs, sea lions and seabirds.
We walk up the cracks to see lava formations, marine iguanas, birds, the Salinas where naturally salt is produced, and “las Grietas” which is a fissure in lava rocks filled with a mix of sweet and salt water where we will snorkel
Estrada beach: swimming and snorkeling
Return by boat to the hotel.

Day 2 (Santa Cruz Island)
Breakfast
Visit the Interpretation Center of the Marine Reserve in Puerto Ayora Santa Cruz Island.
45 min walk to Tortuga Bay, observing birds, lava lizards, iguanas and endemic vegetation as cactus or mangroves
White sanded beach fo enjoy swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling or kayaking
Return to Puerto Ayora
Lunch
Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station where you can learn about the Geology, Flora and Fauna of Galapagos. Also you can see the most famous giant tortoise Lonesome George which is the only survivor of its species.
Dinner

Day 3 (Floreana Island)
Breakfast
Boat trip to Floreana Island (during this trip you have a chance to see dolphins and whales)
Arrival in Puerto Velasco Ibarra
Visit Floreana´s highlands, a historic site where pirates and the first inhabitants settled.
Visit giant tortoises in captivity
Lunch at a local restaurant
Walk to Lobería to see marine iguanas, sea lions, crabs and other endemic species of animals and plants.
Enjoy swimming in Playa Prieta and snorkel to observe marine life.
Return
Arrival to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island

Day 4 (Isabela Island)
Breakfast
Boat trip to Isabela Island
Visit Tintoreras Islet where you can see several species of seabirds such as boobies, penguins, pelicans, etc.., Marine iguanas, sharks and can make some snorkeling to observe marine life.
Puerto Villamil beach
Lunch
Visit the Wetlands to observe flamingos and marine birds
Visit the Turtle Breeding Center
Return trip
Arrival at Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island

Day 5 (Santa Cruz - Baltra)
Breakfast
Visit the Twin Craters (volcanic formation) in the highlands of Santa Cruz.
This area is inhabited by different birds like Galapagos Doves or different kinds of Darwin finches. You can also see a forest of endemic escalesia trees.
Transfer to Baltra airport for your flight back to Guayaquil or Quito. |
