When planning for your Galapagos tours, there are two ways to go. You can choose a Galapagos island hopping tour from San Cristobal or Santa Cruz, all land based Galapagos tours start from Baltra or san Cristobal airports. There is a big difference in the experience offered by these two options. The land based Galapagos tours from Santa Cruz offer a more leisurely pace that is suited to those with better time management skills. On the other hand, Galapagos island hopping Galapagos tours from San Cristobal offer long navigations to one day to San Cristobal 360 (this is a navigation that goes around the island in a 360 degree turn) or Española, faster pace and is more suited for those who prefer to get out and explore as much as they can while on their Galapagos tours.
